Fishing Town of Tai O

Thanks to the recommendation from my friend and world traveler Jonny Blair, who I met on my Antarctica trip, I decided to take a quick day trip out to the fishing town of Tai O on my recent visit to Hong Kong. Taking public transit from Hong Kong Island, I made it out to this little village in about 2.5 hours. The trip was definitely worth it just to see the dilapidated stilt houses located along the banks of the river. I really regret not bringing any black and white film with me on this excursion, as it would have been lovely to capture some photos of this historic town on that medium. Oh well, I look forward to returning one day to do just that!

All photos were taken with Fuji Superia 400 on my Nikon FM3A.

Jonny Blair Terrance thanks for sharing. Your photos are excellent. Much better than ones I could take. Indeed I love Tai O and will write about it at some point on my site http://dontstopliving.net Happy travels. Jonny
