Film Addict

I initially thought my addiction to shooting film would wane after a few months. That was a couple of years ago. As of now, the addiction has grown even stronger. I don’t know what it is, but I just like it. Everything from selecting the film out of my fridge to loading it onto my camera to framing (and painstakingly re-framing) a shot 10 different times before hitting the shutter to manually advancing the film to the anticipation of getting it back from the lab. It’s burning a hole in my wallet, but I can’t seem to stop. I’m a film addict.

This particular set was shot with a Nikon FM3A with Fuji Superia Xtra 400, and processed and scanned at my local Walgreens (to help save me some cash):

terrini Thanks. I take my film to the local drugstores these days. Before I used Richard Photo Lab in Hollywood, but for what I shoot (for fun only) they were just too expensive.

terrini I’ve just been taking my film to Walgreens for the past year or so. It’s hit and miss at times, but it can’t hurt to give them a try. The results might surprise you at times.
