China 2010: Jiuzhaigou

Having the opportunity to visit Jiuzhaigou (translation: “Valley of Nine Villages”) in China was really the highlight of the entire trip. The sheer natural beauty of this place is awe-inspiring and unforgettable. Despite taking an enormous amount of photos during my 3-day visit, I just can’t do this place any justice. The beauty is best experienced in person rather than being captured in a photograph. I hope to return to this place at another time in the future, especially during the fall season when the leaves change color. At the base of the mountains where the entrance is reads a sign that says it all (need to thank my sister for the translation)… “We have one world, and the world only has one Jiuzhaigou.”

terrini Thanks! I had to use a slow shutter speed and I didn’t have a tripod with me on the trip, so I had to lean against a tree and hold my breath to keep the camera steady.
