The Brewery – Los Angeles

Photos taken at the Brewery, a live/work art community in downtown LA. The following were shot with 35mm Superia 400 Xtra:

The rest of the photos were shot with 120 Fuji Pro 400H film using the Mamiya 80mm 1.9 (an old school manual focus lens, but the fastest ever made for a medium format camera). All of these photos were shot wide open at 1.9, which makes it very, very tricky to focus manually. I think I may need to use a tripod next time.

Janet Les! These pictures are impressive… sounds like you are using film cameras…. that’s pretty neat! Thanks for sharing.

terrini Thanks Janet. I’m new to film and really like the results I’ve been getting so far, but I haven’t abandoned digital either. I just need to shoot more. I’m still full from from last night’s sashimi dinner btw…
